Come on Brian, it's Conner by far. Love Grandma But you know he looks like you when you were that age. Praying for all of you Love you guys, Mom, Chuck, Kelsie and Kyle
Besides developing an attitude at an early age, I have been diagnosed with Bilateral Vocal Cord Immobility (Paralysis). My vocal cords do move slightly, but do not open and close all the way like they should. Because they do not open all the way, my airway is too small for me to breathe if I have any swelling.
In July, my mommy and daddy took me up to Mayo to have a surgery done called vocal cord lateralization. They took one of my vocal cords and stitched it to the side of my larynx opening up my airway more. The surgery tripled my airway. Since the surgery we have had a few bumps in the road, but my recovery has gone very well.
My cords still do not work so we still have to be careful that I do not get sick, and I am still pretty squeaky when get excited or mad. My mommy and daddy pray everyday that my cords will start working. If they do not start working on their own in the next few years, we may need to have more surgeries to help open the airway more. The doctors are however optimistic that I may get movement back since they can not find a cause.
Feel free to email my mommy if you would like more info about my cord immobility. We will keep you updated on this site.
