I am healed!

So we traveled up to Chicago yesterday to meet with Dr. Gerber and to check if the graft had healed. And.... it has. The graft has fully healed and everything looks good!!!

Mom talked to the doctor and he said that we can always hope that my cords will move someday, but they will most likely stay paralyzed. So as much as they want everything to be perfect for the rest of my life, they will have to continue to watch me as I grow. They do not know the long term effects of the operation since they have only be doing it this way for about five years. So we will keep our fingers crossed that the graft grows with me and that maybe, just maybe my cords will start to work someday.

The most exciting part of the whole thing... The plane ride. I played peek-a-boo with the guy behind me, hit the lady in the head in front of me, then took a long nap. That made me very sleepy, so I took a long nap.
